Old pipes, straight answers: what is in your walls, what it risks, what replacement really costs

Accessibility Statement

Identifying the pipe under your sink, galvanized steel or polybutylene or lead, should not depend on how you read a web page. Grayfield is built so that readers using screen readers, keyboards, magnification, or reduced motion settings reach the same identification steps, cost ranges, and city program details.

The standard we build toward

Grayfield aims at Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, the W3C specification most United States accessibility policy points to.

What is already in place

Gaps we know about

No independent audit has been commissioned, so testing so far is internal: keyboard passes, browser zoom, and screen reader spot checks. Alt text drafted with AI assistance is edited before publication, as the editorial policy explains, and it can still carry less detail than a sighted reader takes from a photograph. There is no contact form here, so barriers come in by email or phone.

Reporting a barrier

Email is the direct route: write to hello@grayfieldhome.com and name the page address, your browser, and the assistive software in use. If email will not work for you, call (800) 555-0195, answered around the clock, and say it is an accessibility problem so the note reaches the editors.

One caveat about that phone line. Grayfield is an independent publisher whose trade is words, never plumbing contracting: no license, no vans, no crews behind the name. Dialed about a pipe rather than about a barrier, it hands off to the partner network, where a plumber licensed and insured for your area picks up. Work that grows out of such a call can earn Grayfield a referral fee, and the figure that plumber quotes you stays exactly what it would have been.

A written report earns a written answer inside three business days. Whatever we can reproduce goes into the next build, and any sentence above that a fix leaves untrue gets rewritten with it. Whatever you send while reporting is handled under the privacy policy. What governs the rest of your visit sits in the terms of use, and calling hours are listed on the contact page.

Ready to talk to a licensed repipe pro?

Pipe trouble gets settled by whoever holds the wrench, so Grayfield hands the call to licensed, insured plumbers working in your area. Nothing is billed for the call itself, and scope and price are settled with the plumber directly.
